Kurzanleitung: Blender 2.80 Setup für virtuelle Welten

Dies ist meine persönliche Kurzanleitung, Blender 2.80 so einzurichten, dass ich damit bequem arbeiten kann. Die Oberfläche wird damit für die Erstellung von statischen Inhalten optimiert und die Farben ähnlich des ehemaligen Blender-Forums Elysium angepasst.

Da Blender 2.80 noch recht neu ist und ich damit noch meine Erfahrung sammeln muss, wird sich diese Seite noch häufiger ändern.

Die Anleitung für Blender 2.79 bleibt vorerst erhalten.

Durchzuführende Schritte


Start Blender
Menu FILE > DEFAULTS > Load Factory Settings

Add new Workspace
  Right-click LAYOUT tab
  Duplicate
  Double-Click Layout.001 tab
  Rename tab into "SL+OpenSimulator"
  name it "SL+OpenSimulator"
3D View:
  Top View (Num7)
  Select cube
  Activate SHOW X-Ray
  Activate SNAP DURING TRANSFORM
  SHADING
    Activate BACKFACE CULLING
  VIEW > PROPERTIES (or N) to enable SIDEBAR
      ??? Activate AMBIENT OCCLUSION
    Tab VIEW
      Close these tabs:
        View
      Open these tabs:
        Collections
    Enter Edit Mode (TAB)
      Tab ITEM
	Transform: Set to Global
    Sort Tabs
      //Transform
      //3D Curser
      //Mesh Display
      //Background Images
    Leave Edit Mode (TAB)
  VIEW > PPROPERTIES (or N) to disable Properties Shelf
Time Line:
  switch to UV Editor
UV/Image Editor:
  make it a bit higher
  VIEW > PROPERTIES (or N) to enable Properties Shelf
Outliner:
  Header > Flip To Bottom
  //Display Mode: View Layer
3D Viewport:
  Delete Cube, Camera and Lamp
  Header > Flip To Bottom
Properties:
  Render
    Options
      Activate BACKFACE CULLING
        (this is for Viewport Shading)
Edit > User Preferences:
  Interface:
    Display:
      Deactivate SHOW SPLASH
    Menus:
      Activate OPEN ON MOUSE OVER
    Pie Menus:
      Confirm Threshold: 20 px
  Editing:
    NEW OBJECTS:
      Activate ENTER EDIT MODE
  System
    Memory & Limits
      Undo Steps: 128
  Addons:
    Activate these addons:
      3D VIEW: Dynamic Context Menu
      ADD CURVE: Extra Objects
      ADD CURVE: IvyGen
      ADD CURVE: Sapling Tree Gen
      ADD MESH: A.N.T.Landscape
      ADD MESH: Archimesh
      ADD MESH: BoltFactory
      ADD MESH: Extra Objects
      OBJECT: Edit Linked Library
      PIE Menu: UI Pie Menu Official
      Mesh: Tissue

    Install from file...
       Select "uv_tube_unwrap.py"

       Activate this addon:
         UV: Tube UV Unwrap
  Navigation:
    Zoom
      Activate ZOOM TO MOUSE POSITION
  Keymap:
    Spacebar Action: Tools
    Activate TAB FOR PIE MENU

    ??? Activate SHOW THUMBNAILS
  Save & Load
    Save Versions: 3
    Recent Files: 20
  SAVE PREFRENCES
  Close PREFERENCES window
Preset Collada Exporter:
  FILE > EXPORT > COLLADA (DEFAULT) (.dae)
  in "Export COLLADA" tab on the left side:
    Select OPERATOR PRESETS > SL+OpenSim Static
    Deactivate TEXTURE OPTIONS > COPY
    Deactivate COLLADA OPTIONS > TRIANGULATE
    Activate LIMIT PRECISION
    Add a new operator preset
      name it "SL+OpenSimulator Static v04"
  CANCEL to close the export window
3D View:
  ??? ALT+HOME to center the view
  VIEW > ALIGN VIEW > CENTER VIEW TO CURSOR
  SHIFT+C to set Curser to center

FILE > DEFAULTS > SAVE STARTUP FILE
Close Blender application

Create custom UI theme:
  Switch to dark theme
  Save as new theme
  Name new theme as "Blender Elsyiun TF"
  Edit with text editor:
    blender_elsyiun_tf.xml
    to be found in
      C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.80\scripts\presets\interface_theme
    Replace all color codes 5680C2 with ff7021
    Save xml file
  Switch to new theme

Transfer Bookmarks and Recent Files from the previous version:
  Go to
    C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.79\config
  Copy bookmarks.txt and recent-files.txt to
    C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.80\config

Transfer User Presets from the previous version:
  Check in this folder, which presets you want to keep
  (except the Collada exporter you already defined above):
    C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.79\scripts\presets\operator
  Then copy them to
    C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.80\scripts\presets\operator

Backup this folder:
  C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.80
